Copernic Jr. Coupet was a Haitian chemist and pharmaceutical representative who co-founded Disprophar, a pharmaceutical distributor. Born on November 21st, 1951 in Miragoane, Haiti, Coupet worked for several companies in his early years, including Abbott, where he developed a passion for product development and molecules. Later, he met Malherbe and Paul and together they formed Disprophar. Coupet’s impact at Disprophar was significant, as he played a key role in the company’s growth and success. His knowledge of pharmaceuticals and his passion for innovation helped Disprophar become a leading pharmaceutical distributor in Haiti. Although Coupet passed away, his legacy lives on through his contributions to the pharmaceutical industry in Haiti.

Paul Jean-Baptiste started to work as a pharmaceutical representative for Nitram S.A., where he represented MERCK Sharp & Dohme, an American multinational pharmaceutical company, from 1976 to 1996. While working for MERCK, he was a member of the Association Haitienne des Visiteurs Medicaux (ASHAVIM) and later co-founded Disprophar in April 1987. Paul had a passion for learning, teaching, and sharing his knowledge with others about the pharmaceutical world. Paul’s faith in God, the joy of living, and devotion to humbly serve others have made him a servant leader in business and the community. Nonetheless, his vision, work ethic, passion for the pharmaceutical world, and compassion for people have significantly impacted Disprophar’s growth and development and Haiti’s pharmaceutical industry.

Pierre Malherbe Daniel born May 31st, 1954 was a Haitian lawyer who had a passion for helping people. He started as
a Pharmaceutical distributor for Apollon but after a few, he decided to start his own pharmaceutical company. He met Paul Jean-Baptiste and Copernic Coupet and against the odds, together they co-founded Disprophar. The passion Malherbe had for people led him to become the leading trainer in Sales, Marketing, and Management in Haiti and especially at Disprophar. He was one of the innovative minds behind the growth of Disprophar. He was a dreamer, a trendsetter, who pursued expansion for Disprophar. He had the capacity to take his vision and make it clear to everyone around him to follow and execute. Most of all he was a mentor who cared to help people with their growth as leaders and individuals. He focused on a well-balanced team to provide unparalleled service in the Haitian market. He passed away on October 18, 2022, and his legacy lives on through his children, his mentees, his employees, and through Disprophar. He dedicated his life’s work to it and it will continue to stand because of his love and dedication.
